Summary:
This study looks at the effects of children's books on the development of empathy and emotion regulation in elementary students. Specifically, we will compare students' empathy levels after teachers read emotion-centered books, like When Sadness Is at Your Door or One Wave at a Time, in one classroom, versus popular, silly titles, like Dragons Love Tacos, in another. More broadly, this research aims to explore how accessible, affordable, and scalable interventions, such as children's literature, can effectively enhance children's well-being in classroom settings.
